The Lizzie Borden House — Additional Lore
Fall River
Historic Site High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
On August 4, 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were killed with a hatchet in their Fall River home. Their daughter Lizzie was acquitted despite overwhelming circumstantial evidence. The home, now a bed and breakfast, allows guests to sleep in the room where Abby Borden was found — her ghost is the most frequently encountered, seen making the bed she was killed in. Abby's apparition is accompanied by the smell of lavender. Andrew Borden's spirit sits on the couch where he died and has been photographed by dozens of overnight guests.
