Delete Your Account & Data

Requesting Deletion

You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Send an email to:

Use the subject line "Delete My Account — Phantom Trace" and include the email address you used to sign up. We will confirm receipt and complete deletion within 30 days (typically within 24–72 hours).


What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account profile (email, name, sign-in identifiers)
  • All investigation case files you created
  • All evidence files (photos, videos) attached to your cases
  • All sensor readings logged with your cases
  • All AI trip plans you generated
  • Your Spectral Token balance and Pro subscription status (active subscriptions are canceled at Stripe before account deletion)
  • Your contact form submissions and alpha tester signup record (if applicable)
  • All session and authentication tokens

What Is Retained (and Why)

A small amount of data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion, strictly for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes:

  • Stripe billing records — payment history is retained by Stripe for tax and accounting compliance (typically 7 years per US tax law). DawnForge Labs receives only a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.
  • Server access logs — Cloudflare may retain anonymized request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for up to 30 days for abuse prevention. These logs cannot be used to identify you after account deletion.
  • Aggregate, anonymized metrics — total signup counts, total location views, etc. These contain no personally identifiable information.

We do not retain your evidence, case data, sensor logs, or AI history after deletion.


Partial Data Deletion

If you want to delete some data without deleting your full account, you can:

  • Delete individual cases: open the case in the Phantom Trace app, tap the trash icon, confirm. The case and all attached evidence are permanently deleted.
  • Delete individual evidence files: open a case, tap the evidence file, tap delete.
  • Delete saved AI trips: open the trip on the website, tap delete.
  • Request anything else: email [email protected] with the specific data you want removed.

Cancel a Pro Subscription

If you only want to cancel a Pro subscription without deleting your account, open the Phantom Trace app or website, go to your Account page, and tap "Manage Subscription." This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your account remains active and your data is not deleted.
