Shiloh Battlefield — Bloody Pond
Shiloh
Battlefield High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
The April 1862 Battle of Shiloh killed nearly 24,000 men in two days and shocked a nation that had believed the war would end quickly. The site known as Bloody Pond — where both sides brought wounded men who died in the water, turning it red — is the most intensely paranormal location on the battlefield. Rangers report hearing battle sounds on still nights, and full-body apparitions of wounded men crawling toward the pond have been reported by multiple independent witnesses at dawn. The Hornet's Nest, where Union troops held their line for hours against 11 Confederate charges, generates EVPs of battle commands and screaming.
