Haunted Building Medium Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
Built in 1893, the Sheridan Inn was the finest hotel between Chicago and San Francisco and was where Buffalo Bill Cody auditioned performers for his Wild West Show on the front porch. The ghost of Miss Kate Arnold — a housekeeper who lived in the hotel for 64 years — is the most documented spirit. She was so devoted to the hotel that she refused to leave when it closed and continued to work in it for free. She is seen adjusting curtains, straightening pictures, and turning down bed linens in the guest rooms. Guests report their luggage moved and their shoes arranged neatly by morning.
