History & Paranormal Activity
This 1856 Greek Revival mansion in the Ohio River valley served as a stop on the Underground Railroad and as a Civil War staging ground. The owner's daughter Adaline is the most frequently encountered ghost — she died young on the property and is seen in the upper hallway in an antebellum dress. The secret room where escaped slaves hid generates EVPs of whispered prayers and urgent conversation. A family that stayed overnight in 2009 photographed a group of nine figures in period clothing standing in the yard — six of whom appeared to be women in slave dress.
