History & Paranormal Activity
The filming location for 'The Shawshank Redemption' served as a real prison from 1896 to 1990, during which time over 200 people died within its walls — including a warden's wife who accidentally shot herself with a hidden pistol and died three days later. Her husband, Arthur Glattke, died of a heart attack in the warden's office three years after. Both are reported in the residential suite. The solitary confinement 'hole' — a pitch-black dungeon that held men in absolute darkness — produces EVPs of screaming and sobbing in nearly every investigation session.
