Lake Michigan Triangle
Benton Harbor
Shipwreck / Maritime Medium Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
The triangle between Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Ludington, Michigan; and Benton Harbor, Michigan has claimed hundreds of ships and aircraft, including a 1950 Northwest Orient DC-4 that vanished over the lake with 58 people aboard — no wreckage, no bodies, nothing was ever found. Ancient Potawatomi traditions warned of a creature called Mishigami that inhabited the lake and dragged vessels under. Side-scan sonar surveys have revealed strange stone formations on the lake floor that some researchers compare to Stonehenge.
