Fort Mackinac — Officer's Stone Quarters
Mackinac Island
Historic Site Medium Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
Fort Mackinac's stone officers' quarters, dating to 1780, hold the spirit of an elderly British officer who paces the upstairs room where he died during the 1812 conflict. Costumed interpreters refuse to enter the building alone after dark following reports of being physically blocked from leaving a room, a hand on the shoulder from behind when no one is there, and a voice speaking in a British accent heard on recording equipment left overnight.
