Farnsworth House Inn
Gettysburg
Haunted Building High Activity
History & Paranormal Activity
Confederate sharpshooters used this 1810 brick house during the battle, firing through attic windows — 135 bullet holes still scar its south wall. Guests report a rocking chair moving on its own, a spectral woman in the Mourning Dove Room, and the smell of pipe tobacco where no one is smoking. The ghost of a young Jennie Wade, the only civilian killed at Gettysburg, is said to wander the grounds nearby.
