Copper Queen Hotel

Bisbee

Haunted Building High Activity

History & Paranormal Activity

Built in 1902 at the height of Bisbee's copper boom, the Copper Queen is Arizona's oldest continuously operating hotel and one of its most documented haunts. Three distinct spirits are regularly encountered: Julia Lowell, a working girl from the hotel's brothel days who died of a broken heart and now seduces male guests; 'The Billy,' a young boy who plays pranks in the hallways; and an old prospector who smells of cigar smoke in the billiard room. Psychic researchers consistently rate rooms 309, 315, and 401 as the most active.
