Purchased by young entrepreneur Brent Underwood in 2018, the new owner documented extensive paranormal activity including a fire that burned the historic American Hotel in 2020 under mysterious circumstances and voices caught on his livestream cameras. A miner ghost nicknamed 'Felipe' appears on cameras in the mine entrance, and the hotel's second floor repeatedly shows up on thermal cameras as occupied — when no one is there.
